> Packaging inspection
Whether the stickers (size stickers, barcode stickers, trouser-shaped stickers, etc.) are correctly, whether the underwear is folded correctly and flat, the color order of the packaging, the number ratio, etc. must be packed in strict accordance with the packaging instructions.
> Fabric inspection
Appearance inspection of fabric defects: drawn yarn, drawn strips, colored yarn, weft bias, stains, pilling, holes, etc. Check whether the printing is exposed, blurred, front-to-back adhesion, whether the color is full, whether the pattern is flat, whether there is color difference between the left and right sides of the same pair of pants, whether the printed fabric feels soft, etc.
> Inspection of elastic bands
a. The quality of the elastic band: First, check whether the elastic band is dirty, drawn or other quality problems. Secondly, check the elasticity of the elastic band. For the good underwear, the elasticity of the elastic band must be strong. When we stretch it hard, the elastic band will not curl or become wavy when it rebounds. Furthermore, the elastic band must have an appropriate thickness. If the thickness is not enough, the band will slip. An elastic band that is too soft will not have enough elasticity.
b. The workmanship of the elastic band: whether the seams are flush, whether the seams are loose, and whether the leg opening of the pants is symmetrical.
> Measurements inspection
Measuring one by one according to the bulk size chart, the measurements in the tolerance range are allowed (according to the tolerance range on the customer’s size chart), but tolerances are inevitable and unavoidable.
> Symmetry check
The length of the left and right sides seam, the left and right leg openings, the position and size of the front mid-part, etc. all need to be symmetrical.
> Workmanship inspection
The needle stitches of each part should be smooth, neat and firm, and the tightness should be appropriate. There should be no broken threads, skipped threads, holes, reverse pleats, burrs, floating threads, poor joints, or thread ends larger than 1CM. The stitches should not be too dense or too sparse. The care label is not sewn on the pants. The care label is sewn to the word, the position of the washing-water mark and the sewing effect, etc. Most underwear is made by hand. A piece of underwear requires at least a dozen processes. Each process has a fixed line. Moreover, good underwear has a very regular line trend. If there are large and small needles, broken threads, and skipped stitches. If there are jumpers, large and small needles, broken threads, holes with thread ends, it can at least indicate that the workmanship is not very fine.
> Ironing inspection
All parts should be ironed and flat, no yellowing/no laser/no water stains, and the threads should be completely removed.
> Accessories inspection
Check whether the position of care labels, bows, buttons, Brasserie hook etc. and the sewing effect are correct and there are no omissions.
Such comprehensive quality-assurance inspection can generally only be accomplished by SIT designated by the brand. This is why brands that emphasize quality must cooperate with large factories. The factory quality is already a high-quality product that can withstand scrutiny.
> Color Fastness Test
All of the undergarments and lingerie will be put to soaking tests to analyze the color behavior of each undergarment to ensure that no “bleeding” effect will take place after production.
Elastic Construction Test – undergarments that need garters will be tested under acceptable ranges to ensure that the garters won’t break or weaken after testing.lingerie-inspection.
> Fitting test
The fitting test shows how the product will look when worn. To execute this test, the quality inspector performs a test on mannequins as per above, or on real models if available. He puts each garment on the mannequin and performs a general check. The garment should properly hold and look nice, as per the reference sample provided.
Most of the time, only one mannequin is available at the factory. This mannequin shape usually refers to the basic size or middle size: M. Therefore, the fitting test is only performed on one size sample, per the special inspection level S2.
> Seam strength test
is used to determine the seam maximum forceof sewn seams when the force is applied perpendicularly to the seam. The testapplies to the standard seam applied to fabric samples or the Production seamas received in finished garments. The major contributors to seam strength are fabrictype and weight, thread type and size, stitch and seam construction, stitchesper inch and stitch balance. Seam Strength in woven and knit is same as fabricbreaking and bursting strength respectively. Generally, a seam made with ChainStitch will be stronger than the seam made using lock stitch. Obviously, stronger the sewing thread, the stronger the seam. Higher number of stitchesper cm (or in.) up to a point will give higher seam strength stitch.
